About Us
Black Forest Garden Centre and Nurseries is a local family run business which has been serving the York Region for more than 30 years. In the spring of 1986 Gerhard and Katharina Kohnen along with their four young sons first opened the doors of their small but quaint garden centre in the country. Since that historic day Black Forest has grown manifold not only in size, but also in experience and its unique product line. The Kohnen boys George, Karl and John have since taken over the reins, but both Gerhard and Katharina are often seen in the
garden centre or the greenhouse - always more than happy to give someone a hand or to pass on good advice. Since 1986 the Kohnen Family and their staff have made the Black Forest Garden Centre your number 1 go-to spot for all your garden needs.
