Yummies For Bunnies

A great start to spring. Kids plant up a 'yummies for bunnies' basket with some leafy greens and some other vegetables that can be put out for Mr. Easter Bunny - he needs all that energy when hiding the eggs. You'll know he's been nibbling if bites have been taken out of the plants. Then, once the weather gets warmer, the plants and veggies can be transplanted to the garden. Save the date - April 15th from 11:00 - 1:00 o'clock. Cost $10.
The Easter Bunny will available at the same time for pictures with the kids, bring your camera.
Sensational Succulents

Succulents are one of the easiest plants to look after and they look great. They take up very little space and add a s sense of interest. They can even be incorporated into miniature gardening, terrariums, and moss planters.
Come join us, we'll teach you how to put together a planter/container/glass orb, and how to look after and care for you creation.
Soil will be provided. The cost is $30 + tax and includes a $20 credit towards the plants and accessories as well as a 10% discount on plants/supplies purchased.
Sprouts Garden Club

The 'Sprouts' programme runs from mid May (exact date is weather dependent) to early September, a total of 10 classes. The kids meet up every two weeks (Wednesdays) from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. where they will, among other things, plant up a garden, learn about the different vegetables, how and where to grow them as well as a little about pond life - tadpoles, frogs and so on. Although the meet-ups are every two weeks, once the garden starts to produce, they are welcome to stop in and reap their rewards as the crops mature. We do ask that a parent or accompanying adult be present on the gardening days. On their last day, there will be a little celebration along with a certificate and some good eats the children have grown themselves. The cost of the 'Sprouts' programme is $55 per child.
